Race Title: Trefoil Cookie Chase

Location: Lake Baldwin, FL

A few thoughts: Cold, Windy, Wet, Grey, Challenging! For starting this project and intensifying the training for my third half-marathon, choosing to do this race seemed easy enough when I signed up for it. However, the coldest day of the year happened to coincide with it and, if I were to be honest, I had a couple moments both before and during the race in which I was thinking “Am I really sure I want to do this”. Crossing the finish line silenced all doubts. I knew there was work ahead, sometimes it would be really hard work, and the doubts would return but the memory of this first finish line would get me through to some many others.
